We announce the death of Donald Kirkpatrick of Ocala, Florida, who passed away on August 2, 2026, at the age of 91. Donald will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur V. Kirkpatrick and Mamie E. Kirkpatrick (Anderson); his wife Lucinda Kirkpatrick; his son Robert Kirkpatrick; and his siblings, William, Arthur Kirkpatrick, Florence Stiteler, Sara Ann Kowalcyk (Sally), Lillie France, Margaret Orr and Dorothy Kuhta Smith.
He is survived by: his daughter Linda Kirkpatrick Trostle (David) of Ocala, FL; and his sisters, Mary Norton of Arlington, VA and Shirley McEntire of Dayton, PA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Gifted Tree project in the Appalachian Forest of the Eastern United States, a place where Don and his family created many cherished memories while camping together. (https://www.thegiftedtree.com).
