She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Columbus Clayton, Sr. and Ruby Lois Clayton (Dobson); her husband Lewis Wayne Strickland, Jr.; and her siblings, Harold Zennie Clayton, Charles Columbus Clayton, Jr., George Kenneth Clayton, Wilma Lane Martin and Mary Alice Garrison.
She is survived by: her children, Neal Strickland (Karen), Scott Strickland (Valerie), Debbie Donlan (Mark), Tracey Kelley and Traci Mendez (Osiris); and her brother Paul M. Clayton. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren, forty-one great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and many special nieces and nephews.
