With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Belle Sims of Ocala, Florida, born in Lovelaceville, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 5, 2025 at the age of 102. She was predeceased by: her husband Clyde Keaton Sims; her son John Sims; and her siblings, Virginia, Hazel, Charlie, Ellamae, Pauline and Howard.
She is survived by: her children, Dan Sims and Mary Taff (Buddy). She is also survived by ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Countryside Funeral Home (9185 NE 21st Ave, Anthony, FL 32617). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Baptist Church in Belleview or Hospice of Marion County in loving memory of Dorothy Sims.
