He is survived by: his children, Eddie J. Shellman, Joseph Henry Shellman, Ethel Luella Shellman Jones, Deborah Shellman Sherry (Alonso), Denise A. Shellman Graham and Mary Shellman Mosley (Willie); his nieces and nephews, Arthur C. Shellman, Frank Shellman, III, Benjamin Graham, II, Brian C. Graham, Vaughan C. Shellman, Deatric Shellman, Joseph Shellman, Dola "Bobby" McCloud, Alicia C. Shellman, Cynthia Williams, Valerie Pearce, Vondalyn Bradford, Valicia Tellis, Donna Crumby (Fescloe), Tasha Shellman, Michelle Shellman Granville (Ralph), Zola "Peaches" McCloud, Ikiea D. After performing much research for the National Science Foundation, Dr. Shellman graduated from Penn State University with a Doctor of Education in Biological Science in 1972.
