She was predeceased by: her husband Edgar Robert Franklin; and her son Bobby. She is survived by: her siblings, Robert Cornelison, Gracie Higgenbothem and Joyce Reed; and her daughters, Carol Frazier, Elizabeth Garwood and Catherine Swarm. She is also survived by grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Alzheimer's Association.
