He was predeceased by: his parents, Harrison Thornton Lovell and Eulalia Goen Lovell; and his siblings, Rosemary Keith and James W. Lovell. He is survived by: his wife Marie-Jeanne; his children, Marie-Anne Johansson (Olle) and Harry Buck Lovell (Tara); and his grandchildren, Glenora Richardson, April Lovell, Kaitlin, Colin Lovell, Elias Johansson, Kaz Richardson, Latessa Rae Kesterson, Ashley Wagner and Jeremiah Turner. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, and his nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, Jacksonville, Florida.
