He is survived by: his wife Dora Liliana "Ruiz" Shepherd; his children, Jacqueline Jones (Joseph Jones), Chad Holifield (Stephanie Holifield), Justin Shepherd (Jessica Shepherd), Cody Shepherd and Kayla McClain (James O. McClain Jr.); and his grandchildren, Jacqueline, Hannah Headlee, Hayden Headlee, Chloe Jones and Samuel Jones.
