He is survived by: his children, Christopher Vail (Katy), Dawn Tottel (Robert), Kelly Vail and Julie Mewhorter (Jeff); his sisters, Ann Diefendorf and Bonnie Weir (Rich); and his grandchildren, Kelsey Tottel, Robert Tottel, Jr., Tripp Vail, Christian Vail, Trace Vail and Blake Vail.
