It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Martel of Ocala, Florida, who passed away on April 5, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo McHugh and Lillian McHugh (Smith); her husband Charles S. Martel Jr.; her daughter Debra Holmberg; and her siblings, Terry, Leo McHugh, Barbara Bradley, Queenie Brennan, Josephine DiVincenzo and Maryellen Geary.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Martel III of Ocala, Louise Martel (Buddy), Michelle Martel and Gretchen Conley (John); her granddaughters, Andrea Babcock (Dru), Jessica Conley, Jennifer Conley and Katie McLaughlin (Tim); her great grandchildren, Sloan, Xander and Everett Babcock; and her sisters, Ruth Barros and Helen Hatch (Deems).
