Marlene Kay Adair Obituary
It is with saddened hearts, we announce the passing of Marlene Kay Adair, 72, of Ocoee, Florida, on July 9th, 2023, after a mental decline due to a combination of Dementia and Alzheimer afflictions.
Marlene was born on February 23rd, 1951, to Dallas and Roberta Nester at Mt. Carmel hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Marlene graduated from Marathon High School in 1969.
She started her first job at School Employees Retirement Systems of Ohio (SERS), where she worked for ten years. Later, Marlene became a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service (USPS) and gave twenty years of civil service.
In 1969, Marlene met and married Dennis Fisher. Marlene and Dennis went on to have two daughters, Tracy A. Yates, and Kelly R. Fisher. Marlene later had another daughter with Allen Neuman, Raiven A. Fisher. Marlene went on to marry her current husband, Rick Adair.
In 2016, Marlene retired from the USPS and spent her time fishing, playing BINGO, watching talk shows (she was an avid fan of Jerry Springer, and the Maury shows) and scratching off lottery tickets.
Marlene was predeceased by Dallas Nester (father), Roberta Jones Nester (mother), and Kai Brown (grandson).
She is survived by her husband Rick Adair, daughters Tracy A. Yates, Kelly R. Fisher, and Raiven A. Fisher, siblings Christine, Penny, Candy, Ruth, Mary, and David, nine grandchildren Trae Brown, Symmone Davis, Imani Ussery, Ricky Fisher, Ashley Johns, Alan Ervin, Wayne Sexton, Cienna Yates, and Lexi Yates and several great grandchildren.
As per Marlene’s request there will be no service, but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to ASPCA, an organization Marlene felt strongly about.
