He was predeceased by: his spouse Florentyne Anderson (Sienkiewicz); his parents, Albert Anderson and Dorothy Anderson (Alward); and his brothers, Albert Anderson Jr. and Charles Anderson.
He is survived by: his children, Gregory Anderson (Karen) of East Longmeadow, Denise Jennings of Stafford Springs, Daniel Anderson (Lynn) of Windsor Locks and Kathleen Kincman (Marty) of Silver Springs, Florida.; and his siblings, Lorraine Jensen of Stafford and William Anderson (Loretta). He is also survived by eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mel's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
