Elizabeth Wales wrote a sympathy message

“Laurel, while I do not know you or your husband personally, I saw in the Republican Club email the note of his passing. It also stated that you were a Gamma Phi Beta. I am a sister....and live in OTOW also. It seemed necessary for me to send you my condolences as well. SO sorry for your loss. Please know that I am here for you. Sincerely in PiKE, Elizabeth Wales”
