He is survived by: his wife Mary Catherine Chernich (Mare); his children, Jeffrey Bartel (Ann), Deborah Neubecker Henderson (Michael) and Julie Najawicz; his grandchildren, Melissa Bartel, Morgan Bartel (Ju Ma), Amanda Painter (Kyle), Taylor, Allison Neubecker, Olivia and Lily Najawicz; and his great grandchild Christina.
