Robert will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Though Robert is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Robert’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roderick Ferguson and Catherine Ferguson (Butts). He is survived by: his wife Jean Ferguson (McMorrow); his children, Robert L. Ferguson Jr. (Joanne) of Sagamore Beach, MA and Bonnie Love (Ryan) of Pembroke, MA.; and his brothers, George Ferguson and Daniel Ferguson. He is also survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, extended family, and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Cartmell - Davis Funeral Home (373 Court St, Plymouth, MA 02360). A prayer will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in memory of Robert L. Ferguson Sr. to Tommy's Place Foundation in Quincy, MA.
