He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Murphy Sr. and Lucy Murphy (Mascarelli). He is survived by: his wife Denise M. Murphy (Willis); his children, Ashlee Vilela (Rafael) and Robert E. Murphy III (Christina); his grandchildren, Aiden Murphy, Anthony Murphy, Nicholas Murphy and Rylee Vilela; and his sisters, Joanne Cafaro and Lori Ucci.
