He was predeceased by: his sister Kelli Martin; his stepfather Phil Hix; and his grandparents, Jesse Tucker, Jimmy Paul and Sarah Hughes.

He is survived by: his parents, Jimmy Ray Hughes and Teresa Ann Tucker Hix; his stepsister Heather Robinson; and his grandmother Mary Lawson. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was like an uncle to my sister and I. He always had sweets for us and he even adopted our family dog Toby. I’ll always remember how big of a Georgia Bulldogs fam he was, his Pulp Fiction poster, and his love for helicopters from his time in the military. He was one of the coolest guys and I know he will be sorely missed.”
