He was predeceased by: his mother Betty Lou Rowell (Owens); his stepmother Mary Jane Rowell (Delaet); and his siblings, John Edward Rowell and Katherine "Katie" Sue Woods (Rowell). He is survived by: his father John Chester Rowell; his sisters, Mary L. Dennison (Rowell), Brenda J. Otis (Rowell) and Patricia Taft (Rowell); and his stepsiblings, Vicki Williams, James Williams and Robert Baker. He is also survived by seven nieces and ten nephews.
