He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Lahde; his daughters, Vickie Kari and Mandy Mathis; and his parents, Victor "Vic" Lahde and Lillian "Lil" Lahde (Holkko).
He is survived by: his daughter Sheila Wright; his son-in-law Robert Kari (Susie) of Ocoee; and his grandchildren, Brandon Kari (Lauren) of Ocoee, Brianna Loucks (Jacob) of Howey, Miranda Justice (Jeffrey) of Winter Garden and Meghan Mathis of Ocoee. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
