He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Pettis and Wonda Pettis (Peterson); his siblings, Bobby Pettis, Robert "Boots" Pettis, Roy Pettis Jr., Buddy Pettis, Sybil Howell and Janie Johnson; and his son-in-law Kenneth Lemley, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Linda (Thornton); his children, Connie Lemley (Pettis) and Roy Shelton; his daughter-in-law Rosetta; his grandchildren, Nathan, Sabrina and Zachery; and his sister Nancy Fields. He is also survived by several other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Glad Tidings Church Missions in Franklin's name and the church will make sure the programs he so greatly loved and supported will get your gift.
