She was predeceased by: her parents, Harrison Shelton Thornton of Leslie, AR and Dorothy Almeta Thornton (Hurst) of Kennett, MO; and her husband Franklin Pettis of Ocoee, FL.. She is survived by: her family, Carmelita Guthrie (Thornton), Gary, Lisa Thornton and Joyce Cubsted (Thornton); her children, Connie Lemley, Roy Shelton and Rosetta; her grandchildren, Nathan, Sabrina and Zachery; her nieces, Lorri Sims (Thornton), Carole Ann Reed (Guthrie) and Valerie Cubsted; and her nephew Robert Allan Guthrie. She is also survived by several other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Glad Tidings Church in Linda's name and the church will make sure the programs she so greatly loved and supported will get your gift.
