He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Dewitt Howell and Hazel Marie Franklin; his siblings, Sandra Carter and Danny Howell; and his niece Cindy Howell.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy (Bass); his children, Lisa Cyr (Danny) of Clermont, FL and John Mercer (Jaime) of Ocoee, FL.; his grandchildren, Chelsea Swatkowski (Steven), Emma Kicklighter, Hunter Mercer and Kaitlyn Mercer; his great grandchildren, Saylor Swatkowski, Fisher Swatkowski and Sterling Kicklighter; and his brothers, Wayne Howell (Marie) and Rickey Howell (Linda).
