He is survived by: his wife Shirley Lay; his mother Barbara Hurley; his siblings, Steven Lay and Tanya Mercer; and his children, Rhonda Giddens, Kimberly Garavuso and Ronald Poole. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ocoee Church of God (1105 N Lakewood Ave, Ocoee, FL 34761). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 5th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Edgewood Greenwood Cemetery (141 Edgewood St, Apopka, FL 32703).
