She was predeceased by: her parents, William Chester Goings and Ellen Weeks Goings; her husband Richard Eugene Yates, Jr.; and her brother Randall C. Goings. She is survived by: her children, Richard Eugene Yates, III and Jolie Dee Yates Meares; her grandchildren, Jolie Dee Meares, Noah Meares, Allahya Yates, Iyanna Yates and Isaiah Yates; and her great grandchildren, Arie Manuel and Ayva Manuel.
