He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Prytherch Livingston and James Sr. Livingston; his former wife Janice Livingston; his sisters, Rose Hammitt and Mary Hayen; his niece Nicole Faugust; and his brother-in-law Mike Hammitt.

He is survived by: his wife Kathy; his children, John Marcus Livingston (Mary Marjorie) of Germantown, TN, Jill Marie Paul (Clint) of Springfield, IL and Julie Michelle Livingston (Roosevelt) of Springfield, IL; and his grandchildren, Ella Paul, Sophia Paul, Olivia Paul, Abby Livingston, Brayden Paul, Roosevelt Smith IV and Simon Smith. He is also survived by one niece and nephew; several cousins, stepchildren and step-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Staab Funeral Home - Springfield (1109 S 5th St, Springfield, IL 62703). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
