With solemn reverence, we commemorate Jimmie Ronald Mitchell of Okeechobee, Florida, whose life came to an end on February 10, 2026 at the age of 92, leaving behind cherished memories. He was predeceased by: his parents, Enos Mitchell and Nellie Mitchell (Johnson); and his wife Sally Wait. He is survived by: his sons, Ronnie Mitchell (Anita), Mark Mitchell (Lola), Gary Mitchell (Joan) and Roger Mitchell (Tammy); his siblings, Elbert Mitchell (Rosetta), Juanita Shockley and Arleda Nettles (Cecil); his grandchildren, Christina, Travis, James, Troy, Tiffany, Joshua, Liam and Liyah; and his stepchildren, Kathy Wait, Cindy Jo VanderVeen and Jerry Wait. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Buckhead Ridge Baptist Church, 1731 Hunter Rd, Okeechobee, FL 34974.
