He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Marr and Verlene Marr (McCushton); and his son Scott Roemer. He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Schmid; his children, LeeAnne Precht (Ron) of Laurel, Sandra Boggs (George) of Brookville, Gray Marr (Rhonda) of Brookville, Steve Roemer (Kim) of Brookville, Rose Boggs (Ray) of Metamora, Sheila Crank (Buddy) of Laurel and Ron Lockhart; and his sister Rachel Thomason of Murray, Kentucky. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces & nephews.
