Eric Daniels Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Eric Daniels of Old Town, Florida, born in Greensboro, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 4, 2025 at the age of 76. Though Eric may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Eric touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Daniels and Wilma Daniels; and his brothers, Brian Daniels and Guye Daniels. He is survived by: his significant other Mary "Lee" Layne; his sons, Shanon Daniels and Robert Layne (Christy); his nephew Judd Daniels; and his grandchildren, Logan and Brooke Daniels. He is also survived by his aunts and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Rick Gooding Funeral Home Cross City Chapel (16984 SE Hwy 19, Cross City, FL 32628).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either the Masonic Home, of Florida or AMVETS Post 422 Building Fund.
