It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruby Osteen of Old Town, Florida, who passed away on May 27, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Ruby may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ruby touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Wade and Lona Mae Crew Wade; and her husband Larry Osteen. She is survived by: her children, Larry Keith Osteen, Gary Osteen (Lisa), Brian Osteen (Carrie) and Robin Phelps (Tom). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the New Prospect Baptist Church (220 New Prospect Rd, Old Town, FL 32608). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
