She was predeceased by: her parents, Emilio Federico Fernández Herrera and Sixta Graciela Ávila Dome of Fernández; her brothers, Emilio and Adolfo Fernández; and her sons, Miguel Ángel Jr. and Alejandro Eduardo Sacerio.
She is survived by: her husband Miguel Ángel Sacerio; her daughter Alina Graciela Sacerio-Polak (John); her grandchildren, Michael, Alex, Justin, Thomas, Sean, Jacqueline, Rebecca, William and Christian; and her sibling's children, Dr. Henry Sacerio (Gladys), Gustavo Sacerio (Sandy) and Eloisa Sacerio. She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.
She entered the nursing home at John Knox Village in 2020 following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
