He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Cooley Sr. and Martha Cooley; his former wife Anna Marie Cooley; his siblings, Sim, Preston, John and Bess; his granddaughter Crystal; and his sons-in-law, Jim and Shane.

He is survived by: his wife Margaret Cooley; his children, Janet McDonald, Susan Harris, Ginger Bruce, Freida Cid (Andy), Amy Wetmore (Rick) and Troy Bowman (Kari); and his grandchildren, Andrew, Tricia, Gini, Logan, Scott, Nick, Jimbo, Shannon and Michael. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made to First Baptist Church for a special project.
