He was predeceased by: his parents, Higinio Malavé and Inéz Cruz; and his siblings, Luis Alemañi and Irma Iris. He is survived by: his wife Zaida; his brother Melvin (Carmen); his daughters, Nancy, Jessica and Iris; and his grandchildren, Antonio, Geovani, Alexandra, Gabriel, Garrett, Eva, Truman and Monroe.
