She is survived by: her husband Norman Gilbert; her brother Kenneth Bennett; her children, James Gilbert (Cheryl), Susan Peter (Dirk) and Thomas Gilbert (Mary); and her grandchildren, Olivia Beck (Gilbert), Sarah Cassidy (Gilbert), David Henige, Robert Henige, Christina Young and Katie Kaufman.
