He was predeceased by: his wife Arei Bain McGahey; his siblings, Harvey, Boyd, Talmadge, Allen, Laura, Belle, Hazel and Mary; and his parents, Ellis T. McGahey and Estelle Keasler McGahey.
He is survived by: his children, Michael R. McGahey (Jean) and Nancy M. Sima (Dan) of Jacksonville Florida; and his stepgrandchildren, Lovelyn Kaye Alesna (Jay) and Danny Sima (Nikki). He is also survived by 3 great grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Antioch Cumberland Presbyterian Church. A reception will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Antioch Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 3951 County Road 45, Reform, AL 35481.
