She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Lewis Shields and Lucille Long Shields; and her brothers, Thomas Shields, Benny Shields and Michael Shields.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sabrina Barber and Amy Barber Taylor; her grandsons, Calvin Jennings, Jr. and Alan Taylor, Jr.; and her siblings, Jeffrey Shields and Deborah Powell. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
