He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mavis Bearer (Ash) and Emery Byers; his adoptive mother Viola (Clarence Bray); his stepfather Paul Rutsohn; his brothers, James Ash and Lamar Ash; his great grandchild Addison Brooker; his children, Carol Blalock (Jeff), Susan Weitnauer (Robbie) and James Bray; his grandchildren, Billy Warren (Miriam), Sarah Brooker, Justin Midgett (Tina), Grant Gibson (Hannah), Olivia Blalock (Max) and Abby Blalock; his great grandchildren, Aubrey Brooker and Kamryn Brooker; and his siblings, Barbara Gibbs (J. L.), Brenda Gaines (Nelson), Lanie Roberts, Carol Keene (Ricky), Rock Rutsohn (Sharon), Denise Cobb (David) and Tommy Rutsohn.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to honor Dalton's name with donations to HighPoint Community Church missions.

“I am so sorry for your loss. I was a classmate of Dalton's at Robert E. Kee High school. After our 60th Class Reunion, I became a frequent member of the Thursday Breakfast Club. Covid concerns and my frequent out of town schedule prevented my attending the TBC the past 2 years. Dalton was a wonderful man and I feel very blessed to have known him. May he rest in peace.
