“I’m glad that I got to see Elia one more time before she passed away. Because of Esthers’ and my life together, I remember the good times shared by them. Elia was always kind and considerate at the family gatherings in our home on Long Island and then in Florida. I was able to send her a picture of herself and Esther sitting at the boat dock. The scene is imbedded in my memory. Family members should recall the visits too, even though all of you were much younger at the time. Esther and I also enjoyed our trips to Orange Park to visit Elia and the rest of the family. I even remember their mother, Marcelina, but that seems so very long ago. To all the family, please accept my deepest sympathy and gratitude. Al”
