He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Thornton and Elizabeth Taylor Thornton; his siblings, Gene, Flint, Dante and Montine; and his great grandchild Mason.
He is survived by: his brothers, Jerry of DeFuniak Springs and Neil (Edie) of Hazlehurst; his wife Helen; his child Karinn (Jerry); his grandchildren, Brandy, Eddie, Jennifer, Dixie, Daniel, Austin, Darian, Zoe and Skylar; and his great grandchildren, Matthew, Ethan and Ellie.
