He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Donald McArdle and Michalina McArdle; and his siblings, Frank McArdle and Bonnie. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Patti" Peirce McArdle; his children, Michael James McArdle (Jen), Charissa Faith Dionne (Thomas) and Jared Francis McArdle (Camila); his grandchildren, Faith McArdle Riegel (Sammie), Madelyn McArdle, Harper Sorel, Danica McArdle, Madison Dionne, Claire Dionne, Abraham Dionne, Ella Grace McArdle and Christian Michael James McArdle (Mike); his great grandchild Katin Scott Riegel; and his sisters, Sis McArdle (Dee) and Lori Horne (Jim).

Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Jacksonville Memory Gardens (111 Blanding Blvd, Orange Park, FL 32073). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A memorial gathering was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Town Hall Event Center (2300 Market Dr, Fleming Island, FL 32003).
