He is survived by: his children, Richard Vandermiller, Jr. (Casey), Cheryl Robinson, Paul Benson (Melinda) and Patrick Benson; his grandchildren, Catherine Ohrt (Arlen), Audrey Robinson, Kelsey Vandermiller and Ryan Vandermiller; his great grandchild Hayden Alan Ohrt; his sister Patricia Roberts; and his niece Jennifer Roberts.
The military honors will be held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Jacksonville National Cemetery (4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32218).
