She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Leo Sell and Helen Elizabeth Sell; her husband Thomas Allen McCarty; her sister Margaret Rose Sell; and her sister-in-law Peggy Ann Sell.
She is survived by: her daughters, Coreen "Carrie" McCarty-Gibson, Maureen "Reenie" Larson, Kathleen "Katie" McCarty and Eileen Branham; and her siblings, John Sell, Robert Sell, Tina Sell (Jim Hillard) and Mary Ann Schwane (George). She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Virginia's memory to The Dreams Come True of Jacksonville or World Central Kitchen.
