He was predeceased by: his wife Alba Lopez; and his sister Maria Lopez. He is survived by: his brothers, Herman Lopez and Luis Lopez; and his children, Maribel Cheverez (Carmelo), Alfonso Lopez Jr. and Patty Betancourt. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
