She was predeceased by: her parents, Gregorio Rivera and Genoveva Sein; her husband Carmelo Nieves; and her brothers, Reinaldo, Ambrosio and Felipe.
She is survived by: her brothers, Rafael, Luis, Chavelo and Gregorio Rivera. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
