He is survived by: his wife Brenda Carolyn Knapp; his stepdaughters, Robin Knapp McFarren, Christina Knapp Ward and Patricia Knapp; his son-in-law Sean Ward; his grandchildren, Donte Santana, Brooklyn Spencer, Kate Spencer, Jake Spencer, Alanna McFarren, Daniel McFarren and Sarah McFarren; and his close friend Brenda.
