He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Talbott Pottinger and Alyce Kirkconnell Pottinger; and his sister Patricia Pottinger Stewart. He is survived by: his wife Mary Carter Pottinger; his daughters, Kathryn Pottinger Fallon, Virginia Pottinger Trabold (Fred) and Kristin Pottinger Dill (Drew); and his grandchildren, Emma Grace Trabold, Frederick William Trabold, IV, Henry Pottinger Trabold, Drew Sterling Dill, Jr., Talbott Kirkconnell Dill, Brooke Elizabeth Fallon and Michael Jack Fallon.
