She was predeceased by: her husband Jeremiah McIntyre; her grandson Scott Long; and her son-in-law Mark McDonald. She is survived by: her children, Jerry, Shannon Skousgaard (Stephen), Katherine Hall (Bruce), Cynthia Brown (Tony), Michael McIntyre (Debbie), Theresa McDonald-Rivera (Ric), James McIntyre (Melissa) and Jennifer Barbosa (Antonio). She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be sent to the Little Sisters of the Poor, Dorothy's favored charity.
