We bid farewell to Dorothy P. Smith of Orlando, Florida, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 16, 2025 at the age of 88. Dorothy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar D. Puryear and Opie Sue Hart Puryear; her husband Jim Smith of Dixie County, Florida.; her sisters, Rebecca Fletcher and Phoebe Tiger; her son Edwin Smith; and her granddaughter Laura Joye Harmon.

She is survived by: her daughter Sue; her son-in-law Kyle Harmon of West Columbia, SC; her daughter Joye Smith of Birmingham, AL; and her grandson Travis Harmon (Bianca) of Lexington, SC. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the WMU Foundation, 100 Missionary Ridge, Birmingham, AL 35242, designated for theDixon Endowment for Mission Friends.
