He is survived by: his wife Janie Matthews Garrett; his daughter Pamela Garrett Patterson (Edward); his stepdaughters, Elizabeth Schlievert and Susan Walsh (John); his stepgrandchildren, Ashleigh Pritchard (Kyle), Lyndsey Grant (Jeremy Fradin), Alison Walsh (Brennan Mahoney) and Andrew Walsh; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Olivia and Carson Pritchard; his sisters-in-law, Peggy Patrick Garrett and Sallie Jones Garrett; and his nieces, Amy Garrett Ryan (Mark), Dawn L. Garrett and Susan Garrett Booher.
