He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Bert Palmer and Betty June Phillips Palmer; his brothers-in-law, Richard Yanna and Richard Coen; Eric William Svenson and Eric Samuel Svenson.
He is survived by: his wife Mary; his daughter Chelsea; his grandchildren, Victoria, Gracie, Georgette, Ethan and Landon; his uncle James Palmer; his mother-in-law Eleanor Svenson Bookhardt (Jesse); his sisters-in-law, Heidi Yanna and Christy Coen; and his nephews, Gunnar Yanna, Matthew and Andrew Coen.
A celebration of life was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the El Ray Cantina and Mexican Restaurante (945 Maddox Dr, East Ellijay, GA 30540).
Although his illness ultimately prevented his organs from being viable for transplant, he was still able to give the gift of sight through corneal donation.
