He was predeceased by: his wife Diana D. Thomas; his parents, James Thomas and Katie Thomas; and his brother Robert Thomas. He is survived by: his daughter Deborah Whitaker (Jack); his brother Charles Thomas; and his grandson Christopher Thomas Hamil. He is also survived by three great-granddaughters; seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
