She was predeceased by: her parents, Maude Edwina Miller and Rev. John Pendleton Gaines; her husband William Glenn Mitchell; her siblings, John Pendleton Gaines, Jr. and Anne Gaines Rush; her brother-in-law James Knox Rush; and her great-nephew William Tyler Rush.
She is survived by: her children, William Glenn Mitchell, Jr. of Orlando, FLA, Melissa L'Abate (John) of Dunwoody, GA, Mary Ann Mitchell of Winter Park, FLA and Charles Mitchell (Deborah) of Maitland, FLA; her grandsons, Justin Mitchell, William Mitchell and Ian L'Abate; and her sister-in-law Stella Davis Gaines of Orlando, FLA.
Donations may be made in Jane's honor to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Orlando and Osceola County, First United Methodist Church of Orlando, or Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida.
